Since 2004 he has been involved in radiosurgery at the Gazi University Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Center.
He received training in various fields of neurosurgery at Royal Hallamshire Hospital (Sheffield, UK), Karolinska Institutet (Stockholm, Sweden), the University of Pittsburgh (USA) and China INI (Beijing, China).
He has authored more than eighty scientific articles in international journals, as well as national publications, book chapters and edited books.
He has served the Turkish Neurosurgical Society as a board member, chair of the Board of Certification and president.
After six years on the organising committee of the International Basic Neurosurgery Course (IBNC), he became its chair.
